Kumta:

Kodagu and Dakshina Kannada District became the Champions in the Junior’s state level Kabaddi tournament in Kumta.

Tournament was organised by Taluk United Youth association, Karnataka State Kabaddi Amateur association and Uttar Kannada district Amateur association. Uttara Kannada district became the runners up in the boy’s junior section. Belgaum were the runners up in Girl’s junior section.

Under Boy’s junior, the Kodagu district entered in the Finals after defeating Bangalore City. Uttar Kannada entered Finals after defeating Udupi district in Semi finals. The Kodagu district went on to become the Championship after defeating Uttara Kannada.

Under junior Girls section, Belgaum district defeated Chikkamagaluru and entered the Finals. Mysore was defeated by Dakshina Kannada district and came in the Final. Dakshina Kannada district emerged as Champions in Junior girls Section.

In the finals, popular players of Pro – Kabaddi, Jeev Kumar of U – Mumba and Sukesh Hegde of Telugu Titans were present as the chief guest. The audience enjoyed the finals and cheered the players.
