MLA A.S. Ponnanna Inaugurates Annual Get-Together Of Sri Kaveri Kodava Association

Mysore/Mysuru:

The annual get-together of Sri Kaveri Kodava Association, Mysuru East, was held at its premises in Vidyashankara Nagar in Mysuru yesterday.

Virajpet MLA Ajjikuttira S. Ponnanna, who was the chief guest, inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

Association President Puliyanda S. Devaiah presided. Kodava Samaja Mysuru President Ponjanda A. Ganapathy was the special invitee.

On the occasion, MLA Ponnanna felicitated Senior Members of the Association for their services to the causes of community, institutions, education and in general — Kuppanda M. Achaiah, Manipanda A. Muthanna and Star of Mysore and Mysuru Mithra Founder-Editor Kalyatanda B. Ganapathy, who received Hon. Doctorate from University of Mysore recently.

Sri Kaveri Kodava Association, Mysuru East,  runs an educational institution — The Kodagu Model School — from LKG to X Standard at Vidyashankara Nagar here.

Get-Together Of Sri Kaveri Kodava Assn. Tomorrow

The annual get-together of Sri Kaveri Kodava Association, Mysuru East, will be held at its premises at No. 4, Kaveri Road, Vidyashankaranagar, Mysuru, tomorrow (Dec. 3) at 10 am.

 Association President Puliyanda S. Devaiah will preside. Virajpet MLA Ajjikuttira S. Ponnanna will be the chief guest. Kodava Samaja Mysuru President Ponjanda

A. Ganapathy will be the special invitee.

Association Senior Members Kuppanda M. Achaiah and Maniyapanda A. Muthanna will be felicitated on the occasion.

Also, Star of Mysore and Mysuru Mithra Founder-Editor K.B. Ganapathy, who received Hon. Doctorate from University of Mysore recently, will be honoured as a special achiever.

Two-Day Science Fair At Kodagu Model School From Tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: 

Kodagu Model School, Mysuru, promoted by Sri Kavery Kodava Association, Mysore East, has organised a Science Fair on Sept. 23 and 24 (Saturday and Sunday) at its campus in Vidyashankar-nagar, Mysuru.

This Science Fair will provide a platform for young minds to foster creativity, innovation and scientific temperament. It will  be an interactive forum where students can showcase their scientific prowess, exchange ideas and stimulate interest in the mysteries of science by displaying the science working models.

Vikram Muthanna, Managing Editor, Star of Mysore and Mysuru Mithra, will inaugurate the Fair on Sept. 23 at 10 am along with S. Praveen Kumar, Deputy CEO & Head Education – Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement and Puliyanda S. Devaiah,  President of Kodagu Model School.

Later, there will be a talk on the topic “What after completing grade 10 & 12?” by Shankar Bellur, Academic Coach for Career Guidance, at 2.30 pm. Parents and students of classes 9 to 12 can benefit from the session.

On Sept. 24 at 10 am, a live workshop on ‘Foldscope – An innovative way of preparing paper microscope’ for students of classes 8 to 10 will be conducted by Kollegala Sharma, retired Chief Scientist from CSIR -Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysuru. This workshop will be conducted for parents’ along with their children.

Pandanda Cheethamma Block Inaugurated At Kodagu Model School

Mysore/Mysuru:

Sri Kavery Kodava Association, Mysore East and Kodagu Model School had organised a function at the school premises in Vidyashanakar Nagar, here this morning to inaugurate the newly-constructed second floor named as ‘Pandanda Cheethamma Block’.

Star of Mysore Founder-Editor K.B. Ganapathy, who is also the Special Advisor of the Association, delivered the inaugural speech after the school block donated by Pandanda Kariappa Family, Kolkata, was inaugurated. 

The event began with Ganapathy homa and Saraswathi puja.

Students presented invocation dance. Association President P.S. Devaiah welcomed.

Association Secretary K.M. Belliappa introduced the guests, who were also felicitated.

Chairperson of Building Committee P.U. Jayakumar addressed the gathering.

Smt. and Dr. Kayapanda M. Mandanna, Kolkata and Smt. and Sri Pandanda K. Madappa, Kolkata, shared their thoughts.

Mary Anitha, Head Mistress of Kodagu Model School, briefed the gathering about                            academics.

Seethamma, Chairperson of the Academic Committee, proposed a vote of thanks.
